INSURANCE
Wisdom Table Therapy is a full fee provider and does not accept insurance. We offer documentation of our sessions that may be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, should you choose. You may be able to use a Health Savings Account (HSA), or flexible spending dollars of a Medical Savings Account.
Benefits of Private Pay Mental Health Therapy
The value of private pay over managed-care services through your insurance company is that we can personalize your treatment, offer more privacy while providing effective care for you. It is always your choice whether or not to use your health insurance to pay for your therapy. For some, using insurance benefits is the best choice and others prefer the freedom paying out-of-pocket gives them in their journey toward mental wellness.
SOME REASONS WE’VE CHOSEN TO NOT TAKE INSURANCE:
MORE PRIVACY AND ANONYMITY
Opting for private pay therapy provides an added layer of privacy and discretion. Without the need to share sensitive details with insurance companies or employers, clients can enjoy a greater sense of security. This level of confidentiality makes it easier to open up about personal or challenging topics, helping individuals feel more comfortable and supported during their therapy sessions.
CARE WITHOUT A DIAGNOSIS
Private pay therapy offers the unique benefit of receiving care without the pressure of a formal diagnosis, which is often required by insurance providers. This is especially valuable for those who might not fit into a specific diagnostic category but still seek professional guidance for their emotional or mental well-being. The focus in private pay therapy can be on personal growth, emotional healing, and developing healthy coping skills, without the constraints of diagnostic labels.
STREAMLINED PROCESS
One of the biggest advantages of private pay therapy is the simplified process. Without the need to navigate insurance claims, pre-approvals, or reimbursement paperwork, clients can focus entirely on their mental health. Scheduling and payment become much easier, freeing up time and energy to invest in the therapeutic journey. Plus, without delays caused by insurance protocols, clients can often access the care they need more quickly.
PROVIDER CHOICE FREEDOM
Private pay therapy gives you the freedom to choose from a broader range of therapists, including specialists with expertise in areas that matter most to you. Whether you’re looking for a particular treatment approach or simply want a therapist who aligns with your personality and goals, you aren’t limited by insurance networks. This flexibility can help you find the right fit, ultimately making therapy more effective and meaningful.
